COURSE DESCRIPTION

In this presentation, we will discuss various known hazards associated with the use of hand and power tools and the methods you can apply to avoid disabling injuries, especially to the hands. The objective of this training session is for you to learn how to identify the different hazards associated with hand and power tools along with how to select and inspect the tools properly while using them in a manner consistent with the manufacturer’s instructions. We will also discuss the recommended safe work practices and personal protective equipment, or PPE, that can enhance your protection while using the tools. Finally, we will review some of the common hand and power tools along with their energy sources.
